The role

We believe in working together with parents to provide information that empowers them to be more actively involved in looking after their premature babies.

You’ll be working at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital or St Mary’s Hospital in London, where we’ve become the first neonatal intensive care unit in the UK to develop and implement the pioneering Integrated Family-Delivered Neonatal Care model.

You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team and be given the support and training you need to professionally develop. In return, we need you to be a confident, committed and a highly skilled team player who knows how to put babies and their families first during this important time.

Benefits

At band 6, you will receive a base salary of £33,706 - £40,588 (pro rata) per year plus a high cost area allowance, with at least 27 days' holiday. We offer flexible working hours to help manage your work-life balance, plus a range of benefits unique to working at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust:

  • Flexible working hours to help manage your work-life balance

  • Bespoke courses relevant to your banding

  • Leadership and management courses if you’re looking to make that next step

  • Additional learning opportunities, specialist courses and all the support you need to achieve your next career goal

  • Our Rest and Relax room, where you can make use of our two massage chairs to unwind on breaks and between shifts

  • Free shuttle bus between St Marys and Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea hospitals

  • The opportunity to rent accommodation at Hammersmith, Charing Cross or St Mary’s hospitals

The team

You’ll know that in NICU no two days are the same. We are a caring, compassionate and supportive team with a great work ethic. We love what we do and we always put each other and our patients first, staying fully committed to ensuring both baby and family have the best possible outcome.

That is why, for many of us, our colleagues at NICU at St Mary’s, Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea are not just colleagues, they are friends.
